In 2017, over half the population in Sub-Saharan Africa had no bank account. That's for good reason—the fees are too high, the closest branch can be miles away, and nobody takes cards. Without access to financial institutions, people are forced to keep their savings under the mattress. Small business owners rely on lenders who charge extortionate rates. Parents spend hours waiting in line to pay school fees in cash.
We're solving this by building financial services that just work: no account fees, instantly available, and accepted everywhere. In places where electricity, water and roads don't always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast.

How you'll help us achieve it
As Corporate Payment Liquidity Officer, you will be in charge of tracking transfer performances and acting as the interface between corporate and treasury to monitor the liquidity needs of the corporate network in Sengal. You will be responsible for reconciling the corporate network's transaction reports to ensure conformity between reports made and funds transferred to customers. You will report to the Success Group Lead.
In this role, you’ll;
- Centralize partners' transfer frequencies and bank account information in a well-structured spreadsheet.
- Track and monitor all settlements with our corporate partners and ensure the treasury team completes them on time.
- Support the corporate partners on their different liquidity needs (scheduled and not scheduled).
- Ensure good communication (emails, phones, etc.) with partners on the status of their requests.
- Work closely with the treasury team to check transfer status, alerting them anytime there are changes in business trends and updating them on frequency or other matters.
- Interact with the corporate team to update the clients about any critical changes in the rules and processes that affect them.
- Track all proof of transfer on a drive daily and share them with the corporate.
- Report any risk-related issues or blockers to your supervisor.
- Coordinate with the treasury team on the status of settlements.
- Report any discrepancies and perform an analysis to outline the points to consider.
- Collect and archive all bank information documents from partners.
- Identify priority areas and develop innovative solutions to Wave’s payments liquidity needs nationwide.

- You will work from our office in Dakar.
- Work authorization in Senegal is required.
- This is a permanent position.

Requirements
- Fluent in French and good English level.
- At least 2 years experience in Administration, liquidity planning, and management.
- Completed university degree.
- Strong computer skills, especially with spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and strong ability to synthesize.
