5.2.1 Options Tab

    The Options tab allows users to define how PIM handles information. Users control when PIM releases data and when it does not.

    To access Options:

  1. Right click on the System Tray icon and select Settings from the menu (see Figure 5.13).
  2. Select the Options tab.

Web Form Fill Options

The Web Form Fill Options (see Figure 5.14) allow users to configure the way that Private Information Manager automatically fills in forms on a web page.

  • Always Fill - Private Information Manager will fill forms automatically.
  • Prompt Before Fill - Before filling forms, Private Information Manager will prompt for confirmation.
  • Never Fill - Private Information Manager will not automatically fill forms.
  • Note: Users should double-check any auto-filled data prior to submitting the form. Check for missing data as well as data that one would not expect to submit.

    Browser Window Options

    The Browser Window Options control the behavior of the browser when launching a Favorite.

  • Open new browser window - Each time a favorite URL is opened from the Favorites tab, Private Information Manager will open another browser window.
  • Replace current page - Each time a favorite URL is opened from the Favorites tab, Private Information Manager will replace the current web page with the page defined by the Favorite.
  • Time Out Options

    The Time Out Options allow users to configure the amount of time Private Information Manager will idle before automatically logging out.

  • On - Private Information Manager will idle for the defined number of minutes before automatically logging out.
  • Off - Private Information Manager will idle indefinitely without logging out.
