Changing the default Gina from Wave Gina to Microsoft's Gina
To change the default Gina from Wave's Gina to Microsoft's Gina, open EMBASSY Security Center and click on Windows Login. Uncheck the box next to "Enable Secure Windows Login" (see figure 1), select Apply and restart your computer.

It is recommended that you disable Secure Windows Login before uninstalling Embassy Security Center.
In the event that you did not disable Secure Windows Login before uninstalling and the uninstallation process did no properly updated the default Gina back to Microsoft you may not be able to log onto Windows. If this is the case, you have two options:
Option 1: Automatically modify registry by running a file which will modify your registry:
- Download the appropriate file for your system:
- XP Systems: Download fixGinaXP.zip and save it to a location where you will have access to it when you boot into Safe Mode (i.e., CD or Flash Drive or desktop).

Vista Systems: Download fixGinaVista.zip and save it to a location where you will have access to it when you boot into Safe Mode (i.e., CD or Flash Drive or desktop).
- Boot into Safe Mode (during boot up press F8 and select Safe Mode).
- XP systems: Run fixGinaXP.reg
- Vista systems: Run fixGinaVista.reg
- Exit and reboot normally.
Option 2: Follow instructions for either XP for Vista below.
XP - Manually modify registry:
- Boot into Safe Mode (during boot up press F8 and select Safe Mode).
- Go to Start > Run > regedit
- Expand:

- The value of the registry key ginaDLL will be set to waveGina.dll. To allow standard Windows logon, change the value to msgina.dll.
- Exit and reboot normally.
Vista - Manually modify registry:
- Boot into Safe Mode (during boot up press F8 and select Safe Mode).
- Go to Start > Run > regedit - You MUST right click and RUN AS ADMINSTRATOR
- Expand:

- Within Authentication, expand Credential Providers and remove the following entries:

- Within Authentication, expand Credential Provider Filters and remove the following entries:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\Credential Providers\{60D915E7-DEFE-4FB8-BCFF-D957259C4FDF}]
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\Credential Provider Filters\{F0D48C2C-6014-4F70-AC0C-8676522E2C76}]
- Exit and reboot normally.
