How do I upgrade/repair/reinstall the EMBASSY Trust Suite that came shipped with my Dell?
Problem Description:
Dell computers that are shipped with Embassy Trust Suite Software are able to upgrade to version 2.1 for XP and 2.1 for Vista on the Dell Website. For hardware other than Dell, please see the OEM site for upgrade offers.
It is essential to follow the Windows Vista Upgrade Procedure prior to upgrading your operating system to Vista and installing the upgrade of ETS for Vista. This procedure outlines specific instructions for saving keys and backing up PIM and Vault data as well as uninstalling the current ETS to allow the upgraded version to run properly.
If Embassy Trust Suite software is removed, a corporate image overwrote the software, an upgrade is available, or your version has become corrupt, downloads are available on the Dell website as follows:
Solution:
Go to http://support.dell.com/support
- Choose Drivers & Downloads.
- Select your computer Model (Family, Product Line and Model and select confirm)or enter your service Tag (and click Go).
- Change Operating System (XP or Vista 32 Bit) , and edit Driver language if needed.
- Scroll down the results list and select Security. Within Wave Systems Corp - Application select EMBASSY Trust Suite.
- Click on Download Now and save this file to your hard drive.
- Once the file has finished downloading, double-click to run it.
- It will create a directory under C:\dell\drivers\(name of the .exe file) and extract files into that directory.
- Once all the files have been extracted, the installation process will start.
